It’s been a while. It feels like a damn long time. I see we all survived the transition largely intact. That’s good. AMA? Yea, AMA.
BAP for your time.

*high-pitched whining noise and collar-tugging*
Largely the same places I’ve always been doing the same things I’ve always done. Trying to finish up a major life project or two, perhaps enjoying the distractions of life more than I should have. (Philly for a week?)
More recently, I dove head-first back into the bad ideas pool and bought two motorcycles (ok, one motorcycle and one Honda Cub) in one week. So, occasional wrenching on those has taken some evening time.

Sup! Still driving the VW? (What was it, a Golf? Jetta? I forgot.)

‘Till it falls apart. The Golf got a new rear hatch under corrosion warranty over the summer (which was a mess), so that oughta put a few more years of life into it.

Sounds like a whole lot of life going on right there. Hope the bikes work out for you!

Got into some older pro digital multitrack stuff over the summer, some weird 70s/80s home audio effects gear, and finally scored a few of the cassette decks I’ve always wanted. (The big score was an Aiwa AD-6900, which is a monster to work on and has been a source of constant frustration.)
Bask ye in the dual-needle VU meter glory:
(Sorry about the ABBA. Not my vid.)

Well, one is a Honda Cub (CM91), which is fun, reliable, and loyal. I got it cleaned up and running in a few days and it’s been a hoot.
The other is a Kawasaki Ninja ZX6E. We think it has already been on fire once, I still need to get some plastics for it, and my first bike was a ZX6D. I thought it was totally reasonable to ride north through NJ into NY at well into triple-digit speeds on it. So once it’s finished, I will probably kill myself on this new one. *shrugs*
Didn’t really need more bikes, but here we are.

You sound like birddog with his 3 wheeler obsession lol.
Funny you mention a Ninja. There’s a guy in my neighborhood who has one, only he has somehow converted it to a 4 wheeler. If I see it again I will try to get a picture of it. I gotta say I was both amused and impressed.
You should totally Gulf livery the cub.

That’s a cool livery, but that roadster tank is STUPID expensive. However, this new one is kinda at that level of patina which seems silly to mess with. I brightened up the chrome, wiped off the dirt and grease (hours in a kerosene parts washer with the chain cases...), and put it back together. Soichiro wanted it painted black, so I’m not gonna argue with the Old Man.

Fair enough on that.
